The Club held a collection at Tesco Stow on behalf of the Marie Curie Cancer Care and raised £876. The Club thanks the public who contributed so generously  for this cause.

 

Linda, wife of the Immediate Past- President Keith Messenger, raised £ 120 in a sponsored walk on behalf of the Club for the Carterton Mayor’s chosen charity.

 

Donations were approved to Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust, Lions Sight Savers, Bob Cook Memorial Games for the Disabled, Lions Australian Bush Fires Appeal, Lions Edudkit for Third World Countries and the Lions Street Children Appeal.

 

There was good interest shown to the forming of a Lions Club in Cirencester and an Inaugural Meeting is being held on Wednesday 25th March at the Waggon & Horses in Cirencester at 8.15pm to which anyone interested is welcome.

 

The Sweetfuels Big Band Night is being held at the Westwoods Centre Northleach on Saturday 28th March, doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets at the door or 0845 8339825.

 

Immediate future events include the Inter-Club Zone quiz at Blades on 3rd April, car parking at Bourton on 19th April and Jumble Sale at the Cotswold Hall on 25th April

 

The Club meets normally on the second Tuesday of each month for its business meeting. The venue is the Red Lion Inn in Northleach starting at 8pm.  All interested are welcome to attend. The next meeting is however, on Wednesday April 15th.      For further information telephone 0845 8339825
