The 2008 MD Lions Clubs “Awareness Week” will be recognised on Saturday 11th October in the Market Place in Northleach. The objective is to make the public more aware of the lions association and publicity material will be on display. At the same time a collection will be taken for The Meningitis Trust. The Trust accept old foreign currencies.

 

Donations were approved to Kate’s Home  Nursing  and the Cheltenham Cobalt Unit Crack Cancer Campaign.

 

The Open Quiz evening is arranged for Friday 24th October at the Cotswold Hall at 7.30pm  Proceeds are in aid of the Cotswold Hall and Lions Club Charities.

 

The new International President has as his theme for the year “Miracles through Service” and this must be the aim of individual clubs and its members.

 

The Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month for its business meeting. The venue is the Red Lion Inn in Northleach starting at 8pm.  All interested are welcome to attend. The next meeting is on October 14th.    For further  information telephone 0845 8339825
