Moreton-in-Marsh Young Carers Group lost all its equipment in the floods last July. A cheque was presented to the Group to help re-equip its renovated premises . The Group supports children or young persons who take responsibility for the care of a member of their household.

The meeting received a talk about Village Agents who are providing older people in rural communities with easier access to services.

Activities in June include a collection at Tesco Cirencester on the 7th, carparking at Bourton on the 14th and the Northleach Fair on the 28th.

Donations were agreed to the Gloucs Assoc. for Mental Health, the Moreton Cotswold 92 Club for the disabled, the Stow Disability Assoc. and four Personal Energy Transporters(PETs) for Lions International charities abroad.

The Club held its 19th Charter Anniversary Dinner at the Swan Hotel in Bibury and

it is planned to have a skittles evening at Guiting Power in late June.

The Club normally meets on the second Tuesday of each month for its business meeting. The venue is the Red Lion Inn in Northleach starting at 8pm. All interested are welcome to attend. The next meeting is on June 18th for further information or telephone 0845 8339825
