The death is recorded of Life Member and Past-President John Martin after a long illness. The Club’s condolences have been sent to his widow Rhoda and family.

 

The Waitrose collection in early December raised £ 460 for charity and the Craft Fayre in the Cotswold Hall raised over   £400. For both events, the Club would like to thank the public for its generosity.

 

The Club expressed its thanks to those who contributed to the hamper that was raffled at the recent Craft Fayre- Edinburgh Woolen Mill, Christmas Corner, Somerfield, Bourton Basket, Kendall & Davies, The Cotswold Shop, Gift Times, Bag-a-Bargain, The Living Green and. Bits & Bobs.

 

Socially, there was another successful skittles evening at Guiting Power and a drinks party was held at Fosse Lodge  for members and partners.

 

The first meeting to try to establish a new Lions Club in Cirencester is being held at the Waggon and Horses Inn on Thursday 22nd January. Anyone interested will be welcome to attend.

 

The Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month for its business meeting. The venue is the Red Lion Inn in Northleach starting at 8pm.  All interested are welcome to attend. The next meeting is on January 13th.  For further  information telephone 0845 8339825
