The April meeting was visited by the District Governor Ron Clarke and several members from the Carterton Lions Club. Paul Felix and John Smith were enrolled as new members of the Club and welcomed to Lionism by the District Governor.

The Club was invited to attend meetings of the Gloucestershire Rural Community Council  at Moreton and Cirencester.

Over £300 was collected for our Charity Account  from outside Tesco in Stow.

Donations were approved to the Bob Cook Games for the Disabled  in Swindon, to a local tennis club for a sports wheelchair for a disabled member and to the Gloucestershire Chest Fund

The Lions International Foundation is 40 years old this year and in that time it has  provided  $604million in grants for a variety of projects that combat disability, promote health or serve youth as well as efforts to eliminate preventable blindness and restore sight to those in need.
