July raised nearly £300 but our event in August had to be cancelled due to the floods.

 

The meeting approved donations to the Gloucestershire Arthritic Trust which supplies equipment to the hospitals, the Special Olympics for people with learning disabilities next year in China, the well in the sensory garden at Chesterton House in Cirencester and LINC the Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund at Cheltenham Hospital.

 

The social calendar included a BBQ in August, a dinner at the Lamb in Great Rissington for members and partners and a skittles evening at Guiting Power in October.

 

The collection of used spectacles has continued to be well utilised and recently four full containers have been sent off to be sorted and distributed to the poorer countries.

The next fund-raising event is the Annual Rummage Sale to be held on 6th October in the Cotswold Hall  Northleach.

The Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month for its business meeting. The venue is the Red Lion Inn in Northleach starting at 8pm.  All interested are welcome to attend. The next meeting is on October 9th.
