At the first meeting of the new year the President thanked all members for their total involvement in the December activities.  It is encouraging for the coming year ahead. In particular, the generosity of the people of Northleach at the street collection for Multiple Sclerosis Research was noted. As a result, the Club agreed a donation to MSR at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol of £400.

 

Lion Corina has agreed take on the role of Club Youth Officer and has already made contact with the Youth Club.

Members have responded to the appeal to collect used postage stamps and it was agreed to leave it open  so that friends and family can send contributions.

 

The Club is collecting at Tesco in Cirencester on Saturday 10th February in aid of the Gloucestershire Air Ambulance Service. There will also be a collection at Tesco in Stow on Thursday 15th March.  It was agreed to donate £250 to Lions Campaign SightFirst ll to set up an eye camp.

 

Socially, it is planned to have a skittles evening in February at Guiting Power and a Quiz evening at Blades in March

 

The Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month for its business meeting. The temporary venue is the Cotswold Hall in Northleach starting at 8pm.  All interested are welcome to attend. The next meeting is on  13th February.  For further information or telephone 0845 8339825
